Above all the awards, the advertising deals, the growth of AdaDiskon, receiving simple emails such as these are really the true reward for having to start AdaDiskon. Nothing really compares to emails from our users, telling us that we have helped them and made a little impact for the better in their lifes. 

We also appreciate all the feedbacks that everyone wrote to us, especially for sparing their time to write the emails telling us and pushing us to be better.

SINGAPURA: Situs promosi Indonesia AdaDiskon.com diganjar anugerah Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards 2011 dalam ajang Employer Branding Institute. 

Direktur AdaDiskon.com Aswin Tanu Utomo mengatakan penghargaan itu merupakan yang keempat diraih situs promosi yang beralamat di www.adadiskon.com.

“Kami cukup bangga dengan penghargaan ini karena brand kami disejajarkan dengan perusahaan besar di Indonesia,” katanya seusai menerima penghargaan di Suntec Singapore, kemarin.

Penghargaan Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards diberikan oleh Global Chairman Phil Knight dan CEO MD Cannon Alok Bhardway di acara Employer Branding Institute bekerja sama dengan mitranya CMO Asia.

Selain AdaDiskon.com, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk dan Bakrie Group juga meraih penghargaan yang sama.

Aswin memaparkan pihaknya juga telah memperoleh penghargaan internasional karena masuk 50 situs terbesar di Asia pada Oktober 2010.

Sampai dengan saat ini, ungkap dia, jumlah pengunjung situsnya mencapai 370.000 per bulan dengan page view mencapai 1 juta per bulan.

This 2nd of June 2011, we’re turning 2 years old!. We have finally removed the BETA version tag on our logo. 

We have also refreshed the looks on our website but the main purpose for this new version is all about optimizing for speed and scale!.

We have grown really fast in terms of traffic and sometimes we are just caught off guard. I hope you like our new look and although there are still a lot of small issue, I can safely say that this new version is super FAST!.

We’ve finally reached 100,000+ friends on Twitter!

On behalf of all our team here at AdaDiskon.com, we would like to say thank you so much for supporting us all this time.

We launched AdaDiskon.com on June 2009 and we already reached 100,000 strong in less than 2 years! This cannot happen without all the support that you gave us. All the pictures, info, retweets, recommendation, countless follow fridays for us :D

Maybe we should share a couple interesting facts about our twitter account

Fact #1:

We started using our twitter account on June 2009 and had about 40 followers until early October 2009 when @uliherdinansyah re tweeted about us to his then 11,000 followers. This retweet immediately made another 50 people followed us. 

What was important was how this 50 followers are ultra active in retweeting and recommending us, they are the ones who started it all and we cannot thank them enough for recommending us to their friends :D

Fact #2

In the beginning, we have two admins, myself included, to engage and talk to our twitter friends. We now have about five-six people who takes turns to tweet and try to answer all questions.

Our only regrets is that now there are so many mentions that we cannot answer all questions in time, we’re really sorry about this. We are doing our best to answer all of your questions and everyone should expect improvement in this area really soon :D

We made worldwide trending topic last March 2011! everyone at the office were surprised and really happy. We made “Citywalk Sudirman” a trending topic!.

AdaDiskon growth has been really great :D

• 5000 Followers by 31st of December 2009
• 75,000 Followers by 31st of December 2010
• 100,000 Followers by 19th of April 2011  

Overall, we would like to say thank you so much for all of the support that you gave us, our website itself is growing really fast as well, I’ll share more info about this in June when we will have our 2nd birthday.

We are also thinking about doing a small gathering on our birthday just to say thank you to you personally. Stay tuned!

This concept of “Social Buying” has been around for a while and what sets us apart is that we’re improving and innovating the “Social” aspect of it. I believe that this “Social Buying” concept as of right now should be and can be more social. 

This is why I am very proud to say that AkuPlusKamu is the first ever “Pure Social-Commerce” website in Indonesia. 

The only way for our community to sign in and purchase is to simply use their facebook account. This single login system purposes are to simplify registration, reduce spam accounts, and enables us to innovate this “Social Buying” concept even further.

Just following up on our announcement a few weeks back we are happy to tell you that you can see nearby deals using your mobile phone on Yahoo! Koprol’s mobile web.

Yesterday (Thursday 24th February) was the first day that this feature went live for the mobile version and we have seen great feedback as well as lot of people are already using this feature according to our internal statistics.

Great News, AdaDiskon.com has just established a partnership with Yahoo! Koprol. Koprol is Indonesia’s leading mobile community where people have conversations based on places. Recently Acquired by Yahoo!, Koprol now has more than 1 million registered member and is the #3 Social Network in Indonesia based on page views.

This partnership is definitely a great news for all of our partner. This means that all of our partner merchant’s promotions and discounts will be exposed and read by more than 1 million Koprol’s members, depending on their location. 

Yahoo! Koprol will be AdaDiskon.com’s first partner in using our Geo-Location API (Application Programming Interface) to pull data from our database.

Currently, you can view promotions from AdaDiskon by clicking on the “Deals” section at the right hand side of your “Home” screen at Koprol. We soft launched this feature around mid-december last year and we are thrilled that all the response have been really great and positive. 

This is just the beginning of the partnership, stay tuned to hear more great things to come from this partnership.

We just won Indigo Fellowship Awards 2010 Last night (Wednesday 8 Dec 2010) at JCC!.

Sejak tahun 2009, Telkom Group mempersembahkan program Indigo Fellowship, yang merupakan apresiasi kepada individu atau kelompok yang dianggap berhasil dalam membuat karya kreatif digital dan memberikan manfaat kepada masyarakat luas, serta mendorong tumbuhnya digitalpreneur baru dalam industri tersebut.

There are 4 Categories for this award which are Consumer, Enterprise, Small Medium Enterprise, and Rural/Maritime. More than a month ago we entered AdaDiskon.com to be in the Consumer Category. 

Initially, over 251 Products/Company from all over Indonesia entered and 50 was chosen for the first round of elimination (20 candidate from the consumer category).

The second round of elimination was done to take the candidates from 50 to 28 in total (8 for consumer products). At this point AdaDiskon had to present and prove why we deserve to be the one of the winner in front of many very influential and respected judges from different backgrounds.

We are really happy that it was finally announced that we are one of the winner of the Consumer Category, There are 4 winners from the Consumer Category. We can’t thank you enough to all of our audiences out there for supporting us and being with us through everything.
